This is the sporadic podcast hosted by Kunsthaus Zürich, which started in 2021 and where we already talked with exciting art loving experts from various fields such as Nobel prize winner for Economics William Nordhaus, sociologist and climate war specialist Harald Welzer, and ecofeminist Vandana Shiva in the framework of project such as “Earth Beats” and “Re-Orientations.”
My name is Cathérine Hug, I am curator for Modern Art at the Kunsthaus, with a special love for Dada as well as computer-based Art.
Our guests on 27.8.2024 are Klaus Maeck and Tanja Schwerdorf, who co-directed the film “Alles ist Eins. Ausser der 0”, which celebrated its theatrical release in summer 2021. Klaus Maeck is famous as a producer and director of films about subcultures in the German-speaking world and his proximity to the cult band Einstürzende Neubauten. Tanja Schwerdorf is an up-and-coming filmmaker from Hamburg and was junior producer of “Fraktus - das letzte Kapital der Musikgeschichte”.
In this episode, Maeck and Schwerdorf introduce us to the exciting history of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) and its co-founder Wau Holland, which they explore in the film “Alles ist Eins. Except the 0”.
